We wanted to focus on a core set of the features you demanded most when we developed the Browser v3.0. By looking at surveys, discussion boards, and customer emails, we were able to prioritize a feature set based on what you, our Dreamcast users, wanted. From that input, we decided to focus our efforts on features like broadband, Flash 4.0, instant messaging, and updated JavaScript support for the v3.0 browser.
In order to keep the cost of the browser low and to quickly deliver important features like broadband and Flash 4 support that our customers had requested, Dreamcall is not included in the v3.0 release.
Currently our instant messaging is Dreamcast to Dreamcast with support coming for third party instant messaging services.
The Browser v3.0 allows users to surf the Internet at broadband speed with a broadband adaptor. The ability to play a console-based videogame at broadband speed must be supported by the game developer.

Over the past couple of years Planetweb has worked with many consumer device companies and gone through rigorous levels of quality assurance. One piece of our technology which has benefited greatly from this is JavaScript. In this release we have rolled together all the improvements and advances to ensure that our JavaScript support allows better access to the majority of sites on the web.
The Browser v3.0 supports the SFD format which is a Dreamcast specific movie format. You can view SFDs at dreamcast.planetweb.com.
We are no longer taking orders for the Planetweb v3.0 Browser.
